Women Lead The Way In Digital Photography
New studies show that women are the biggest consumer of Digital Cameras. The once male dominated industry saw male photographers, professional and amateur, leading the way buying the most cameras and new technology for photography.
A recent report put together by PMA shows that women overtook men in purchasing cameras and photography equipment in 2007, apparently 58% of digital cameras are purchased by females and women are more likely to take pictures, print and share using digital technology.
Blokes are still holding their own with Digital SLRs, an even 50% of Digital SLRs are purchased by men but if this trend continues it looks like women will overtake the men with these aswell. As the price of technology goes down I’m sure women will replace there point and shoot digital cameras with digital SLRs soon enough.
