Practical Photography

The ever controversial Turner prize has announced 4 hopefuls to the award. As diverse as ever this years judges seem to have leaned towards cinematography and sculpture.
This year seems qiute tame in comparison to archived entries of carcasses and messy beds, but who knows what will be unveiled at this years exhibition. Will this years contenders carry on the tradition of shocking what seems to be the unshockable modern society we live in.

Cathy Wilkes,
Goshka Macunga,
Runa Islam,
The Favourite to win is Mark Leckey but I’m sure the three fiesty females he is against will give him a run for his money. Interstingly only 3 females have won the Turner prize in the past, lets see if this year will make it 4. I will be interested to see which installation wins and if the public reacts with the usual split of love and hate.
