Practical Photography

Hans Hoefer has managed to combine his two greatest passions and live his life through them, Hans loves Travelling and photography and has spent the last 3 decades doing just that.

Hoefer often quotes the Chinese proverb which states that a man should have 55 professions before he dies, the idea that you should incorporate your hobbies into a profession and fudging the boundaries between work and play.

Hans has been travelling and taking photographs for years and it is not just these hobbies that he has turned into a career,even his Yaught is rented out to make some money while he isn’t using it.

Hoefer’s photographs started as a hobby then he produced a Sri Lanken guide book showing off his images and exhibiting Sri Lanka in stunning photography. His guide book was spotted by the Times who help fund a joint commission of a guide book of Singapore and Malaysia.

During all this he also set up a Photography agency for contract work then any other money he had left over he invested in publishing his images in the right medium.

I think that Hoefer has the right idea work with what you love and you will love your work.
