Practical Photography

This years Photographic Portrait Prize is being held at the Lowry at Salford Quays, it opened this weekend but you have until the 22nd of July to see 60 of the best entries of the competition.

This years entries were said to be an eclective mix with images of celebrities such as Amy Whinehouse, more intimate pictures of friends and families, and more hard hitting journalistic and satirical photography.

I would definately pop down to this exhibition and take a look at some of the newest photography talents coming through from all over the country. I always love to go to exhibitions such as these for inspiration for my own work.
