Practical Photography

Many people spend a lot of time and money tracing their family tree, my Mum loves looking back at our ancestors finding out about our family history and digging up old scandals (maybe thats just my family). When looking through archives , birth documents and death certificates you can also find old photographs.

These photographs can be faded, scratched or in a poor state, these can get even more damaged if not looked after or restored. There is new technology that can enhance and restore these pictures so they are good enough to frame.

By scanning photographs into a computer using a very high dpi scanner you can photoshop the image bringing back faded colour, airbrushing cracks then you can re print onto modern paper to frame. You can even print them out onto canvas. These restored images can make a great gift for older members of your family.

If you find a picture of your Grandmas Mother you can restore it and give it to your Grandma as a nice keepsake that is personal and have fond memories associated with it. It is alll fairly cheap as well.
