Photography Tip Of The Week- Music Photography!

In honor of this weekends events at Glastonbury my tip of the week is getting that great festival photo!
For good photogrpahy it is best to use an SLR but you don’t want to get it covered in mud at a british festival, I would advise taking a good quality point and shoot camera that you can adjust the shutter speed etc.
Its always hard knowing when to take a shot, musicians put on a performance so the lighting and set should be sorted for you. You may have to wait for the singer to move into center stage or into the light. Thats assuming you can get cose enough to see the stage!
The best shots show emotion when the star is really going for it on the stage, and of course when they are drunk or doing something always makes for a memorable shot!
When your taking photos yu should try to switch between Manual, Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority to get the best results. Using the shutter priority your aperture will automatically adjust depending on the light and exposure.
The most important tthing to remember at a festival is to be well behaved respect security and others around you and have fun, you don’t want to ruin the whole day by being too focussed on getting a shot that you get kicked out.
