Photography Tip of The Week - Bad Light

As mentioned in a previous Photography tip of the week the best times of day to get the best lighting is first thing in the morning and last thing at night. That is all good and well but when you turn up first thing in the morning to get the best light and typical british weather it is chucking it down!

I think that is no coincidence that britain and the UK produce some of the best photographers in the world as with probably the most tempramental weather and lighting in the world UK photographers hav to experiment and work that much harder. In the UK you cannot guarantee anything when it comes to natural light, the rest of the world can get lovely side lighting early in the morning or last thing at night but we get fog, rain, wind which can dampen spitits and ruin a shoot.

This doesn’t have to be the way, as the best british photographers knowy ou can still get a great shot from the light in fog and when the sky is dark and stormy.
Just make sure that instead of using a higher ASA film in lower lights to use slower shutter speedsa nd work with the aperture, tyou may need to use a tripod for this. These shots, once you get them right will help turn your photographs from the same old.. to spectacular.
