Photography Tip of the Week - Action

Lights, Camera… ACTION! Action photography is the only style of photography where the photographer is taking part instead of just being an observer.
As an adventure photographer you get a front row seat to all the action. You can get close, be involved and focus on both the subject matter and the emotion of the events as they happen.
As with most types of photography adventure and action photography is about telling a story or narrative. Start the story at the beginning of a trip, then as you become more intimately involved and close to any dramatic events that may occur in the adventure. Shooting good adventure photography needs a balance between participation, combining good camera techniques and a keen observation of composition and events. The end result is powerful photos that show the story of your adventures.
7 P’s to live by especially in adventure photography is “precise and perfect preperation prevents piss poo performance!” Always be prepared, with adventure photography you must be prepared for any situation, you may need mose specific equipment and safety measures. Always put your self and the people you are photographing first you can break a camera but don’t break a leg. No photo is worth getting hurt.
