Practical Photography

This weeks Photographer in the limelight is celebrity Photographer Mitch Jenkins.

With a list of big music names behind him, such as NME, Sony, Warner’s Universal, etc, Mitch Jenkins has established himself as a reputable photographer in this industry, shooting numerous record sleeves and cd covers. He started off as an Indie photographer concentrating on the music scene, but as his work developed and his popularity soared he has recently been involved in more mainstream photography for American dramas such as House, Greys Anatomy and Prison Break creating prominent Press and Poster campaigns for Sky one and Channel 4.

It was this mainstream work that first made me notice Mitch Jenkins and his style of capturing personalities and creating more of a out take from a story board than an image.

Mitch Jenkins’ work is not just limited to popular culture, his editorial portfolio is exeptional working on Vanity Fair, YOU, Sunday Times Magazine etc and his creative style an ability to capture a character has made him first choice for celebrities such as Keira Knightly, Nelly Furtado, Daniel Craig… the list goes on!

I really love Mitch Jenkins Style he is versatile for a commercial audience but adds depth to tell a story for his work within the music Industry.
