Practical Photography

This week I am looking at the work of Candice.
I first noticed her work when I saw the fresh 2o photography for water aid. Celebrities queued up to support this charity to be photographed underwater by Candice. These equisite images of celebrities such as Lily Cole, Keira Knightly, Sophie Anderton and Judge Jules etc are vibrant, colourful yet romantic. The shoots took place underwater so it must have been a challenge for the models to pose whilst holding there breath and still look natural and beautiful. The lighting is amazing considering the challenge of shooting in the depths of a swimming pool getting the light right and not electrocuting someone in the process.
Candice is not just an underwater photographer her fashion photography can be spotted all over the uk and her recognisable style is evident in fahion magazines throughout Europe.

I love the way Candice uses bright colours and subtle side lighting to emphasise her compositions, her playfulness is evident event and her versatility proves she has an amazing vision. I will be keeping an eye on her work as I feel there is a lot more to this photographer and lots more to come.
