Paparazzi Proof Cameras!!

Hewlett-Packard have made a patent application for a device in digital cameras equipped with special circuits that could be triggered by a remote control to blur the face in any image taken by the camera.
The system works by automatically modifying an imaged based on a set of commands sent by a portable device. If this goes to market it means anyone who doesn’t want their photo taken can use a clicker and distort the image.
This idea was patented on the basis of portable cameras being so accessable they can infringe on human rights and privacy issues. This has the good benefits of parents controlling who takes a picture of their children but could mean the price for a paparazzi image will go sky high!
Although it would be interesting to see which celebs actually like the exposure those drunken, and knickerless shots bring them!
Although so far HP don’t seem to have any plans to commercialise the technology, and if they did would need the support of all camera manufacturers to make it work, so I guess we’ll still see mid rate soap stars falling out of clubs and where would we be without our Britney or Paris pics on the front page every day.
