Kanye West is voicing his opinions about Paparazzi Photographers he feels that their should be strict laws about them selling images of celebrities like himself.

Kanye was recently envolved in a dispute between himself and Paparazzi he came across whilst in Newcastle a last week. It is understood that the performer was arrested outside a nightclub in Newcastle after getting into a scuffle with a photographer trying to get his photograph. He was released without charge but the incident has obviously raised some controversy over the Paparazzi and laws protecting stars.

Kanye has called for the Government to look into the law over the rights of the Paparazzi. At the moment Paparazzi photographers seem to be able to do whatever they like. West wrote on his website that he felt that the photographers were above the law and he who had his personal space invaded and would not get a penny for any images of himself that were taken was arrested.

West claims that the incident in Newcastle was caused by Kanye putting his hand up to cover the lens this caused security to think he had grabbed the camera and in the conbfusion the camera smacked back into the photographers face injusing him.

West has a point but this argument has been raised time and time again especially since the Death of Princess Dianna. Celebrities are people too their are plenty of rules to protect normal people but a photogrpaher can make thousands of a ‘money shot’ of a celebrity.

I’m sure the debate will continue, part of me is sympathetic but another part of me feels that it is the lifestyle they choose and they are compensated well enough.
