A good way to get some extra pennies in is by submitting your photographs to istock web sites. It is not going to be your next get rich quick scheme but it can bring in a few extra pennies that will make the credit crunch a little easier to bear.

I shock sites usually have strict rules and sometimes you need to pass a bit of a test to even set up an account they will also moderate the images before allowing you to put them up. The images can be of anything as everyone will need an image for something, they must be high quality to be purchased in small , medium, large and extra large formats these are so they can be sold for web and different print sizes.

If you are taking an photo of a person you will need to get a model release form from the subject which will need to be scanned in before the site will allow it to be put up.

As I said you won’t make millions but if someone buys your image and you get 50p then 100 downloads is £50 a nice little supplement fodoing very little. The image can be downloaded as many times as people want it so a little bit of effort can bring the pennies in for years.
