Ffotogallery

Ffotogallery opened its doors to Wales 30 years ago and the rest of the world soon followed suit, this innovative gallery had the one aim of promoting photographic art.
Three decades on and Ffotogallery showcases two exhibitions featuring the past commissions which first got the nation talking.

Ffotogallery has grown into a succesful organisation exhibiting photographic art from new exciting artists in Wales and beyond.

The exhibitions, I Hate Green and Fantasy & Denial are controversial shows that present images of wales, real and imaginary.

The first exhibition in the series, I Hate Green is taken from graffiti art scrawled on an old tin garage painted in green.

The Colour Series uses documentary style techniques to depict diverse colours and shapes.

Fantasy & Denial, the second exhibition depicts the classical portrayals of the National Museum of Cardiff and the former Welsh Office situated in Cathays Park, Cardiff. These images are a juxtaposition between formal and informal, contemporary and tradition.

Ffotogallery is all about the diversity of the wales and the UK and reported through the art of photography.
The launch will be held at the National Museum Cardiff on June 17.

I Hate Green opens tomorrow until July 20 at Ffotogallery, Turn House, Penarth. Fantasy & Denial is at the gallery from July 26 to August 31.
