The Nikon D3 is my reccomendation for a Fathers day Present to keep you in the Good books for years to come!.The D3 is the ultimate boys toy for Photographers the professional digital SLR, it has shooting speeds of up to 11 frames-per-second it uses Nikon’s 3D Color Matrix Metering with Scene Recognition and has a 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor.

Although the D3 is probably the best professional camera Nikon offers (that I’ve seen) the price tag mirrors this and at a RRP of £3399 for just the body I think I’ll have to be selfish and invest in this for myself! Sorry Dad!
The investment continues as I’ll also have to buy a range of lenses, but as a Nikon - aholic I already have lenses in the range. If your a first time Nikon user I would reccomend the Nikon D60 digital SLR kit, this fits all Nikon cameras and comes with a 18-55mm AF-S VR lens for under £500. If the D3 is completely out of the question the D300 from Nikon boasts similar specifications for half the price.
