Practical Photography

Today marks the Launch of the Cumbria Institute of the Arts final exhibition, I went to the Art college to do my degree not long before it made the transition to Cumbria University.

I remember a few years ago the stresses of getting all my work printed and exhibited properly for the start of the final exhibition, invites went out to friends and family and prospective employers to come and view the best of our work from the past 3 years.

The Degree show is an exhibition of BA(Hons) work and HND work from all the departments including Photography, Graphic Design, Fine Art ,Multimedia … etc. I usually go back to see all the new work and prospective talents coming through.

It is great to see the students work and see their personality shine through in their work. Whilst studying you really get to have fun with your work when you get into the industry you often have to be much more specific to a brief so this is the time you get to have fun!
