Bread, Butter and Shutter Photography

My favourite style of photography is editorial and fashion shoots but as the winter months have come in I’ve had to resort to what I call bread and butter photography. The shoots for broshures, websites and leaflets of products.
This pays quite well and is a neccessity for any business who want to markt and advertise their product but its not the most creative of shoots. This week I’ve been focussing on Shutter photography, not shutter speeds but actual window shutters. Its not the most interesting shoot I’ve ever done but you can make it a bit more creative with experimenting with angles.
I like to do a bit of research before a shoot and for this I googled shutters and saw the types of images that are on the top websites. Most of them were quite basic but some sites like Simply Shutters had had a go at making a seemingly boring subject a bit more interesting to look at.
I think now competition for everything is getting harder product photography will improve as you have to show off the product as best you can.
